Director of Growth

Boone Group is seeking a Director of Growth at Boone HQ.

Overview
The Director of Growth is responsible for directing and managing strategic pursuits in collaboration with Business Development, Delivery Leads and Proposal Development.  This role will lead strategic captures including development of technical solutions and win strategies; develop and execute capture plans, as well as refine bid strategies to enhance proposal readiness.  Will operate effectively within the overall business development processes, procedures, and policies for Boone.  Assess capture performance to measure effectiveness.  Anticipate and resolve problems that might affect results.  Responsible for all end-to-end management of strategic pursuits to include entire bid lifecycle such as win themes, bid strategy, pricing, teaming, competitive analysis, solution development and proposal storyboards.  

Key Responsibilities
• Manage a team of 3-5 individuals.
• Run capture on new business opportunities, red /Green light opportunities – is it worth time to go after winning this work?  
• Manage solicitation process – schedule, inputs, and quality of proposals.  
• Gather, assess, and validate customer needs, both business and technical.
• Lead the strategic capture efforts throughout the Federal acquisition lifecycle.  
• Shape business development opportunities and other growth strategies with the Boone operation.
• Monitor competitor activity for each capture.  
• Draft proposal language for identified opportunities.  
• Deliver financial results.  
• Provide high-level managerial support to our team and commercial client accounts at the point of acquisition strategy from USG.
• Strong understanding of Boone products and services, as well as the products and services of our clients and the problems they face.   • Build upon Boone's sales processes, policies, and procedures to establish effective methods of capture, and directly impact the product build of the company.
• Actively engage in creating new revenue-generating relationships for Boone. These relationships should demonstrate value in one of the following contexts: a trusted resource or advisor, growth, and or strategic partner.

What You'll Bring
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent; or ten to fifteen years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of Business Development and Capture Management experience.
• Familiarity with defense acquisition, defense and intelligence technologies, federal clients, and national security.
• Knowledgeable on current government contracts and the FAR and DFAR.
• Proficient in capture methodologies (e.g., Shipley).
• Proven ability to prioritize and qualify federal pursuits.
• Strong negotiating, influencing and coaching skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a team environment working with senior management as a team player and leader.
• Demonstrated experience in identifying clients’ needs, working collaboratively to develop plans to address needs and deploying appropriate resources to deliver results.
• Understanding of capture management best practices.
• Experience managing and writing proposals.
• Demonstrated ability to capture business in the federal space.

• Ability to build a 5M, 10M and 20M revenue capture plan.
• Have a demonstrated history of performing in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
