Client Manager, Commercial Solutions

Boone Group is seeking a Client Manager to support the Commercial team at Boone HQ.

Overview
Do you have what it takes to deliver exceptional client experiences to technology companies breaking into the national security industry?  Boone is on the hunt to add to our Commercial Solutions team as we are on a path to double our operations over the next 12 months.  A Client Manager in our Commercial Solutions Business Unit identifies, develops, and integrates unique technologies into the defense and intelligence community missions.  The Client Manager engages with a variety of communities to drive this goal to fruition: end-users, technologists, defense & intelligence leadership, venture / private equity partners, and defense integrators.   The Client Manager is responsible for leading strategy, portfolio management, and execution to deliver on Boone’s contracting engine.  The Client Manager works closely with our clients, analysts, and leadership team in product development; building relationships that extend into every sector of the defense & intelligence community.  The Client Manager will report to the Director of Commercial Solutions and will have an active role in shaping Boone's grand vision to deliver our engines effectively to the market. Most importantly, the Client Manager is responsible for the successful experience of Boone’s commercial clientele.  In this role, you should be an excellent communicator who’s able to grasp client needs and brainstorm ways to fulfill them. If you also have a background in customer service and knowledge of the defense acquisition industry, we’d like to meet you.

What You'll Bring
• Experience selling emerging tech to Federal customers.
• An uncanny curiosity for understanding technology and market fit.
• A working knowledge of sources of government funding and contracting; including the FAR, contract vehicles, and OTAs.
• Exceptional communication, and presentation skills.  
• Unique self-sufficiency and initiative, with the confidence to own revenue-driving outcomes.  
• Ability to manage multiple large, complex sales opportunities simultaneously.  
• Exceptional ability to evaluate a client’s technology capabilities against Federal use case requirements to architect.

Ideally, you'd also have:
• Experience in SBIR and BAA proposal writing on behalf of emerging tech clients.  
• Experience in the use of Federal contracting search engines (Federal Compass, Bloomberg.gov., etc.).
• A working knowledge of CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, etc.).
• Experience in the use of collaborative work platforms like Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint.  
• At least a Secret-level security clearance with a minimum of four years of remaining eligibility.
